Church Design & Pre-Construction Management
Roughly 80% of a project's cost is committed during design. Cost control must happen before the drawings are finished. We manage the pre-construction phase to ensure your vision matches your budget.
Who This Is For
Churches that are ready to hire an architect or are currently in the design phase. If you are worried that the beautiful renderings being presented will cost more than you can raise, our church design management services ensure the design remains grounded in reality.
What We Do
- Architect and engineer selection
- Programming and space planning oversight
- Design-phase cost estimating
- Constructability review
- Value engineering before bidding
- Permit and CUP strategy
Our 5-Phase Pre-Construction Process
Phase 1: Team Assembly
Drafting RFPs and interviewing architects and engineers to find the right fit for your church.
Phase 2: Programming Review
Ensuring the spatial requirements meet the ministry's needs without unnecessary bloat.
Phase 3: Milestone Estimating
Providing independent cost estimates at schematic, design development, and construction document phases.
Phase 4: Value Engineering
Identifying alternative materials or methods to reduce costs without sacrificing the core design intent.
Phase 5: Entitlements Strategy
Navigating the complex Conditional Use Permit (CUP) and municipal approval process.
Churches deserve to know how their advisor is paid.
Every engagement is a fixed, written proposal after a free assessment - no open-ended hourly billing. Our fee can be structured as a percentage of the board-approved project budget, locked at that baseline: if costs rise, our fee doesn't. For some projects, part of our fee can be tied to documented construction savings we deliver against the approved budget - so we only do better when the church does.
